Hubby and I like to go away for a long weekend getaway a couple times a year. It started way back when we were dating. I planned a long weekend up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire for Hubby's birthday in October. And he reciprocated by planning a beautiful getaway in Vermont for me for my birthday the following June. Thus began our Great Adventures. We continued in that vein, planning vacations for each other every June and October. We tried to pick places we hadn't been before. So we've been to every state in New England, into New York, Pennsylvania and Canada. And every trip is wonderful, fun and exciting. As time went on and we got married, (and I started working for AAA, which is in the business of planning trips) I sort of started taking over and planned the last several vacations for both of us. But this time, Hubby wanted to do the planning all by himself. And has refused to tell me where we're going. It's someplace within about 3 hours from our house. He told me it was North, although he now denies that. And that's all he's told me. He refuses to say more. He brings it up at least 3 times a day......teases me about it......then when I start asking questions he gives me a firm-voiced "This discussion is closed." So I'll let you know in a few days where this fall's "Great Adventure" has brought us.
